I don’t believe it is specified in the product description, but the pen comes with a converter. I have been using the pen for about one week and had no issue at all. It writes great and the EF nib is truly tiny, which I love. The cartridge works great, the ink performs well on Tomoe River paper, but it does take a few seconds to dry so you should watch out if you are left handed. My only “problem” with this pen is that I actually feel like it performs better with the cartridge than with regular ink (only tested with Diamine); it felt like the ink didn’t flow as well and it feels a little scratchy in comparison. Still writes great, cartridge just felt smoother. The pens are prone to spilling a bit of ink on the tip if stored upside down, that is my fault and not the pens of course but it is something you should watch out for. I would definitely buy again!
